Alec Baldwin Film “Misfire” Accident Sends Two Crew Members To Hospital In New Mexico – Deadline

DEVELOPING: Refresh for updates A potentially deadly accident involving a prop gun on the set of the Alec Baldwin star Rust at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Sante FE, NM has seen two crew members sent to the hospital.

A production spokesperson from Rust Movie Productions LLC told Deadline, “There was an accident today on the New Mexico set of Rust involving the misfire of a prop gun with blanks. Two crew members have been taken to the hospital and are receiving care. Production has been halted for the time being. The safety of our cast and crew remains our top priority.”

Deadline reached out to the Sante Fe Sheriff’s Department who confirmed that an incident occurred on the Bonanza Creek Ranch on Thursday afternoon, and that criminal investigators were on the scene. It’s unclear at this point how it’s criminal related given the statement we recently received from the production. We’ll update you with more info as we have it.
