JCB, Drone, Band Baja For Telangana Leader’s Birthday Celebration

Hundreds of party workers were seen cheering for him

Hyderabad:

At a time when the JCBs are making headlines for the wrong reasons, the giant construction machines were brought in by the ‘fans and supporters’ to garland a local Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader Dr Errolla Srinivas in Hyderabad, who is celebrating his birthday today.

Several banners carrying photographs of the party leader, who is a doctor by profession, were put up along the streets leading to his home in the Marredpally area of Hyderabad, where a pandal was set up to celebrate the birthday of the aspiring MLA amid pulsating drumbeats, loud music and fireworks.

A huge garland of rose petals and another one with different colours of flowers were hung on two JCBs to honour Dr Erolla, making the grand celebration unique. Dr Srinivas posed with a mace, swords and pyro guns as the massive rose garland framed the picture for the cameras.

Hundreds of party workers were seen cheering for him while a drone camera was hovering over the pandal to record the celebratory moments. Firecrackers were set off to make sure no one in the neighbourhood missed the spectacle.

Dr Srinivas assumed charge as the Chairman of Telangana State Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSIDC) in December last year. Prior to that, he was chairperson of the Telangana SC/ST commission.

One of the organisers told NDTV that Dr Srinivas was celebrating on behalf of the poor and it was his friends and fans who had spent for the grand celebration.

“In the upcoming elections, he hopes to be given MLA ticket from Zaheerabad. He is a great freedom fighter for Telangana and was in prison for 45 days. For two years, he did not celebrate. He is a great student leader,” said Dr Dattatreya, Assistant Professor, Koti Women’s College, Osmania University, who introduced himself as Dr Srinivas’ friend.
