NEW DELHI: Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday announced a 15-day curfew across the state from tomorrow in view of the alarming surge in coronavirus cases.
Here are the restrictions that will remain in force for the next 15 days:
* No lockdown but “janta curfew” across Maharashtra from 8pm, April 14 till 7am, May 1
* Section 144 to be imposed across the state
* No one should step out unless it is an emergency
* Private vehicles can ply only for essential/emergency purposes
* Public transport allowed with restrictions (Autos: Driver + 2 passengers; Taxi: Driver + 50% of vehicle capacity; Bus: Full capacity but no standing passengers allowed)
* Trains and flights to be allowed

* No schools and colleges across the state. Private coaching to remain shut. Students travelling for exam may be allowed along with one adult on the basis of valid hall ticket
* All restaurants and hotels to remain closed for dine-in. Home delivery allowed
* Cinema halls, drama theatres, clubs, swimming pools, gyms, amusement parks to remain shut
* No shooting for films/serials/ads

* Only offices in exempted category allowed. Read document below for full details
* Ecommerce to be allowed only for delivery of essential goods
* All shops/malls not performing essential services to remain closed
* Public places like beaches, gardens, etc to remain closed.
* Religious places of worship to remain closed
* Barber shops and saloons to remain closed
* Weddings to be allowed only with maximum 25 people present. Funerals to be allowed only with maximum of 20 people
* Decisions on letting domestic help, drivers, attendants to be taken by local authorities
