Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are set to face off on the debate stage at the National Constitution Center. Both politicians are preparing to present their plans for the nation, but there will be no audience in attendance. This is the only presidential debate scheduled so far. In October, running mates Tim Walz and J.D. Vance will debate on the CBS stage.
“The National Constitution Center’s mission is to model civil dialogue and debate, and we are honored to be selected as the location for the presidential debate in September. Presidential debates provide a meaningful opportunity for all Americans to learn more about the principles that define American democracy, embodied in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the American idea,” said Jeffrey Rosen, President and CEO of the National Constitution Center, as noted on the museum’s website.
The debate between the 59-year-old current Vice President and the 78-year-old former President will take place at the National Constitution Center (NCC) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Originally inaugurated in July 2003, the NCC has hosted many high-profile events, including George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton receiving the Liberty Medal in 2006 and Michelle Obama’s rally for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in 2012. According to the center’s website, it “brings together people of all ages and perspectives, across America and around the world, to learn about, debate, and celebrate the greatest vision of human freedom in history, the U.S. Constitution.”
The debate is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ET, lasting a total of 90 minutes.
To watch the Republican and Democratic presidential candidates go head-to-head, the debate will be streamed on ABC News Live, Disney+, Hulu, WPVI-TV/6ABC, CBS (Paramount+), CNN, NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox, Univision, PBS, Fox News, and The CW. Additionally, viewers can watch the debate on NBC4, News4, The Roku Channel, and Samsung TV Plus. ABC journalists David Muir and Linsey Davis will moderate the evening.
