Dog Dragged Along Platform by Moving Rajdhani Express at Central Railway Station
A shocking incident unfolded at Central Railway Station when a dog was dragged along the platform by a moving Rajdhani Express train. The unfortunate event occurred as the dog’s owner attempted to board the train while it was in motion, inadvertently pulling the pet onto the tracks.
Eyewitnesses reported that the dog’s owner, in a rush to catch the departing train, held onto the leash tightly as they tried to jump onto the coach. In the process, the dog, still attached to the leash, was yanked forward and ended up dangerously close to the moving train. As the train gained speed, the dog was dragged along the platform, struggling to keep up.
Passengers and onlookers immediately raised alarms, shouting and signaling the train staff to halt the train. Fortunately, railway officials and security personnel responded swiftly, managing to stop the train in time to rescue the distressed animal. The dog, though visibly shaken, survived the ordeal with minor injuries.

Railway authorities have strongly advised passengers against attempting to board moving trains, emphasizing the dangers it poses not only to human lives but also to pets.Dog
“This was an unfortunate and avoidable incident. We urge all passengers to follow safety protocols and refrain from reckless actions,” said a railway spokesperson.
The dog’s owner was later counseled by railway officials and reminded of the potential risks of such actions. Many passengers took to social media to express their concern and relief that the dog survived the ordeal, with some calling for stricter enforcement of boarding rules.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of railway safety and the need for responsible pet ownership while traveling. Authorities continue to stress the importance of using designated entry and exit points for boarding trains safely.
