Lokesh Kumar Manjhi, a loco pilot from Madhya Pradesh, accuses his wife of severe physical and mental abuse. Shocking hidden camera footage shows the violence, prompting him to seek police protection.

Madhya Pradesh Loco Pilot Shocking Video

Lokesh Kumar Manjhi, a 30-year-old loco pilot from Panna, Madhya Pradesh, has accused his wife, Harshita Raikwar, of severe domestic abuse, both physical and mental. The disturbing case came to light after he submitted video evidence to the police, showing Harshita slapping, kicking, and assaulting him while he pleaded for her to stop. The footage, captured through a hidden camera, has sparked serious discussions about domestic violence against men, an issue often overlooked in society.

According to Lokesh, the abuse began shortly after their marriage in June 2023. He claims that Harshita not only subjected him to physical violence but also imposed severe restrictions on his personal life. She allegedly prevented him from meeting his family and friends and frequently demanded money from him. Despite his efforts to sustain a peaceful marriage, he states that the situation worsened over time, leaving him in constant fear for his safety.

The video evidence, which has since surfaced online, reportedly shows Harshita repeatedly attacking Lokesh, ignoring his cries for mercy. He alleges that this was not an isolated incident but rather a pattern of behavior that had been going on for months. Feeling helpless and vulnerable, Lokesh finally decided to approach the police, submitting the footage as proof and requesting protection.

Instances of domestic violence against men are rarely reported in India, often due to stigma, social pressure, or a lack of awareness about available legal remedies. While women’s safety and protection are rightfully prioritized, cases like Lokesh’s highlight the need to recognize and address abuse against men as well. The law does provide avenues for men to seek justice, but many fear not being taken seriously or being ridiculed for speaking out.

Madhya Pradesh Loco Pilot Legal experts say that men facing domestic abuse can file complaints under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) that deal with assault, criminal intimidation, and cruelty. However, India currently does not have a specific law addressing domestic violence against men, unlike the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005,

which safeguards women. This lack of legal recognition often discourages male victims from coming forward, leaving them trapped in abusive relationships.

Activists advocating for gender-neutral laws argue that such cases must be treated with the same seriousness as those involving female victims. They emphasize the need for awareness campaigns, legal reforms, and support systems such as helplines and shelters for abused men. Many also call for social acceptance of male victims so that they do not suffer in silence.

In Lokesh’s case, the police have reportedly registered his complaint and are investigating the matter. Authorities have assured that appropriate action will be taken based on the evidence provided. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked discussions online, with many expressing shock over the visuals and extending support to Lokesh. Some social media users have also pointed out the broader issue of male victims of domestic violence being ignored or ridiculed.

While the case is still under investigation, it serves as a stark reminder that domestic violence is not confined to any one gender. Abuse, whether physical or emotional, can affect anyone, and legal systems must evolve to ensure protection for all victims, regardless of their gender.

For many, Lokesh’s decision to record and report the abuse is a step toward breaking the silence around domestic violence against men. His courage in coming forward could encourage others in similar situations to seek help and assert their rights. The case also raises crucial questions about how society perceives male victims of domestic violence and the need for stronger, more inclusive laws to address such issues effectively.

As the investigation continues, Lokesh hopes for justice and a resolution that ensures his safety. His case is a wake-up call for authorities and policymakers to acknowledge that abuse is not a one-sided issue and that protections should be extended to all victims, regardless of gender.
