Banur, Punjab: The body of a 23-year-old woman, Mitali, who had been missing for two days, was discovered in a drain near Banur, Punjab. The police investigation has revealed that her murder was a result of a soured relationship that turned fatal.
According to authorities, Mitali had been in a relationship with Sultan Mohammad for five years. However, tensions escalated when Sultan discovered her involvement with another individual. Consumed by rage, he, along with his associates Raj and Amandeep, allegedly orchestrated and executed the crime.
Following an intensive search operation, law enforcement officials apprehended the three accused near the Nepal border as they attempted to flee.Punjab
The court has since granted the police a four-day remand to interrogate the suspects and uncover further details regarding the motive and execution of the crime.
