Patna Hospital Shooting: Police Identify Tauseef Badshah as Main Accused
The police have identified 26-year-old Tauseef Badshah as the prime suspect in the targeted killing of gangster Chandan Mishra at a hospital in Patna. According to officials, Tauseef led a group of five men who calmly entered the hospital lobby and shot the prisoner dead in a planned execution. The incident has raised serious concerns about security lapses in custodial situations.
A day after the CCTV footage of the attack went viral on social media, a new side of Tauseef emerged — his ‘reel’ life as a social media content creator.
An ‘Influencer’ by Passion
Tauseef’s YouTube channel, launched in 2023, has a modest 247 subscribers and features 129 short videos. Despite the small subscriber count, many of his shorts consistently attract thousands of views, reflecting his deep interest in content creation and online influence.
Each video is paired with a deep, often out-of-context one-liner that reflects Tauseef’s unique and twisted take on self-love. Whether he’s casually strolling down the street or simply sitting, smiling, and striking the perfect pose, every shot feels like a glimpse into his eccentric world.
Over a dozen videos show Tauseef inside a car—sometimes driving, other times sitting in the passenger seat, smiling at the camera. In one clip titled “Capture the moment,” several people are seen standing through the sunroofs of multiple moving vehicles. In another, Tauseef is seen driving with a baby in his lap, raising safety concerns.
In a more confrontational video, Tauseef addresses his critics directly, saying: “Dil mein nafrat rakh ke kya karogey, saamne aao mukabla karte hain”—which translates to, “What’s the point of holding hatred in your heart? Come face me instead.”
Over the years, numerous videos of him have surfaced — captured at various locations, often surrounded by friends and family. While the message in each video may differ, one striking element remains constant: the unmistakable branding. Bold, gold letters proudly display the phrase TAUSEEF BADSHAH, a visual declaration of dominance and authority that demands attention in every frame.
According to an NDTV report, Tauseef’s private Instagram account features several similar posts, including reels of him driving around Patna. One video, captioned “King of Patna,” shows him confidently cruising through the city streets.
His Facebook bio reads: “Jis jungle mein tum sher ban kar ghoomte ho, usi jungle ke bebaak shikari hum hain” — which roughly translates to: “In the jungle where you roam like a lion, I am the fearless hunter.”
Professional Killer Executes ICU Hit in Broad Daylight at Patna Hospital
On July 17, a shocking act of violence unfolded at Patna’s upscale Paras Hospital, where Tauseef, a known contract killer, along with four associates, brazenly entered the facility with chilling ease. The group walked into the hospital lobby, made their way to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and opened fire on Chandan Mishra—a rival gangster previously convicted of murder.
CCTV footage, now viral, captured the harrowing sequence. While the gunmen rushed out of the corridor following the attack, Tauseef stood out, maintaining a calm and deliberate walk, unfazed by the chaos.
Another clip from outside the hospital, which surfaced on Friday, shows Tauseef and five men on two motorcycles, reportedly celebrating the killing shortly after the brazen execution.
Police have identified all five attackers involved in the recent shooting incident and arrested six suspects from Bihar’s Patna and Buxar districts. Search operations are currently underway at properties and safe houses connected to the Sheru gang, which has been linked to the attack, according to a report by NDTV.
The victim, Mishra (36), a convicted murderer, was serving time at Beur Jail. He had been taken to the hospital on parole for medical treatment, Patna (Central) Superintendent of Police Diksha told PTI. Mishra was reportedly involved in 24 criminal cases, including over 12 murder cases.
He was admitted to the hospital’s ICU after the attack but later succumbed to his injuries, the officer confirmed.
