The Majiwada Flyover in Thane is undergoing nightly closures from April 5 to April 20, 2025, between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, to facilitate the construction of the Majiwada Metro Station as part of Mumbai Metro Line 5.
The construction involves erecting columns and installing jack beams and rafters for the station’s roof. A 60-ton mobile crane will be positioned on the main channel of the Majiwada flyover near Jupiter Hospital to carry out this work.

As a result, traffic from Mumbai to Nashik and Ghodbunder that typically uses the Majiwada flyover will be rerouted.Flyover
Motorists are advised to use the slip road opposite Jupiter Hospital and proceed via Kapurbawdi Circle to reach their destinations.
The Thane Traffic Department has urged commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and stay updated on real-time traffic information through official channels to minimize inconvenience during these nightly closures
