A new course covering Yoga, Self-Help, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being introduced for students from Kindergarten to Class 10, Delhi Government.

A new course, called Science of Living, will introduce students to different forms of meditation, including yoga, mindfulness and stretching exercises, a SCERT official said. The education department will also develop new courses focused on Artificial Intelligence.

New Delhi:

Elderly care, yoga, and self-help will soon be part of the curriculum at Delhi schools. A new course, called Science of Living, will introduce students to different forms of meditation, including yoga, mindfulness, and stretching exercises, a State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) official said.

The course will be for students from kindergarten to class 10, he said.

The education department is set to introduce new courses focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of its initiative to keep students ahead in a rapidly evolving technological landscape, an official told PTI.

“As technology continues to evolve, upgrading skills has become essential. To meet this demand, we are developing new courses and activities that will equip students with future-ready skills,” the official said.

Additionally, several existing schemes and courses are undergoing revisions, incorporating new elements to enhance their effectiveness.

Introducing NEV – A New Learning

Among the upcoming initiatives is New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision (NEV), designed to introduce students to business-related activities. Unlike the existing Business Blasters programme, NEV will offer a fresh set of activities aimed at fostering entrepreneurial skills in students.

‘Rashtraneeti’ – Practical Learning on Governance and Citizenship

Another major addition to the curriculum is ‘Rashtraneeti’, a program aimed at providing practical knowledge of governance, democracy, active citizenship, and policymaking. This initiative will be available to students across various classes, ensuring a deeper understanding of the country’s administrative and political processes.

With these new educational programs and AI-focused courses, the education department aims to empower students with relevant skills and knowledge, preparing them for a dynamic, tech-driven future.

Delhi Schools to Launch ‘Science of Living’ Course: Emphasizing Moral Values, Yoga, and AI Integration

Delhi schools are set to introduce a new course titled ‘Science of Living’, aimed at fostering moral values, mindfulness, and holistic education. The curriculum will focus on yoga, meditation, ethical values, and artificial intelligence (AI) to equip students with essential life skills.

This initiative seeks to promote emotional well-being, self-discipline, and critical thinking among students, ensuring a balanced approach to modern education. With AI becoming an integral part of various industries, the course will also introduce students to AI concepts and applications, preparing them for the future.

New Educational Initiatives: Life Skills, AI, and Entrepreneurial Learning for Students

Launch ‘Science of Living’ Course

The education department is set to introduce a groundbreaking course designed for students from kindergarten to class 10, focusing on essential life skills to enhance mental well-being and emotional intelligence. This initiative aims to equip students with the necessary tools to navigate life’s challenges effectively.

Recognizing the ever-evolving technological landscape, the department is also developing new courses centered around Artificial Intelligence (AI). These courses will help students stay updated with modern technological advancements and prepare them for a tech-driven future.

“As technology continues to evolve, upgrading skills has become crucial. To meet this demand, we are introducing new courses and activities that will help students stay ahead,” an official stated. Additionally, several existing schemes and courses are being revamped with innovative elements to enhance their impact.

Among the key upcoming programs is the New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision (NEV). This initiative will introduce students to business-related activities and foster entrepreneurial thinking from an early age. Unlike the Business Blasters programme, NEV will offer a fresh approach with unique activities tailored to cultivate practical business acumen.

Another significant initiative, ‘Rashtraneeti’, is being introduced to provide students with hands-on knowledge of governance, democracy, active citizenship, and policymaking. This program aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical governance, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of civic responsibilities.

Delhi govt to provide free online coaching for CUET, NEET
