BluSmart suspends cab services in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. Learn how to claim your Blu Wallet refund and explore alternative transport options.

BluSmart, India’s prominent electric cab service, has abruptly suspended its operations in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. This unexpected halt follows allegations by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) against co-founder Anmol Jaggi for misusing funds from Gensol Engineering, BluSmart’s affiliate company. The funds, intended for electric vehicle procurement, were allegedly diverted for personal expenditures, including the purchase of a luxury apartment.
In light of these developments, BluSmart Cab has ceased accepting ride bookings, leaving many users concerned about the funds stored in their Blu Wallets. The company has communicated that if services do not resume within 90 days, wallet balances will be refunded.
Steps to Request a Refund from Blu Wallet:
- Open the BluSmart app on your smartphone.
Tap the menu icon located in the top-left corner and navigate to the ‘Help’ section.
Select ‘Blu Wallet’ from the list of help topics.
In this section, you will find FAQs regarding Blu Wallet amounts and refunds. If your issue isn’t resolved,
tap on the ‘thumb-down’ icon under the ‘Does this resolve your issue?’ prompt.
This action will allow you to contact BluSmart’s support team directly to request a refund.
Once your refund request is processed, the amount should be credited back to your original payment method within 5 to 7 working days.
Despite the app still being available for download, all booking functionalities have been disabled. Delhi International Airport has also issued an advisory confirming the suspension of BluSmart’s operations at the airport.
The sudden suspension has left thousands of drivers unemployed and customers uncertain about their prepaid funds. BluSmart has yet to provide a detailed explanation or timeline for the resumption of services.
