Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding comedian Kunal Kamra, asserting that freedom of expression should not be misused to attack individuals or institutions. His statement comes amid a heated debate over Kamra’s remarks, which have sparked both support and criticism across the country.
Speaking at a public event, CM Yogi emphasized the importance of responsible speech in a democracy. “Freedom of expression is a fundamental right, but it comes with responsibilities. It cannot be used as a tool to defame, insult, or launch unwarranted attacks on individuals or institutions,” he said.
