India has suspended all visa services for Pakistani nationals and revoked existing visas following the Pahalgam attack. Stay updated with the latest developments on India-Pakistan relations.

In the aftermath of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals, India has implemented significant diplomatic measures affecting Pakistani nationals.
The Indian government announced the immediate suspension of all visa services for Pakistani citizens. Additionally, all existing valid visas issued to Pakistani nationals were revoked effective April 27, 2025.
Medical visas were granted a brief extension, remaining valid until April 29, 2025. As a consequence, over 500 Pakistani nationals departed India via the Attari-Wagah border crossing. Simultaneously, approximately 744 Indian citizens returned from Pakistan through the same route.
The visa revocations impacted various categories, including tourist, business, and student visas. Individuals affected by these changes expressed feelings of being unjustly penalized for actions they were not involved in.
These developments are part of a broader escalation in diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan, with both nations taking reciprocal measures such as suspending trade and closing airspace to each other’s aircraft.
The situation remains fluid, with international observers urging both countries to exercise restraint and engage in dialogue to prevent further deterioration of relations.
