Mumbai, April 29: A massive fire broke out early Tuesday morning at the Croma showroom located in the basement of Link Square Mall in Bandra (West), triggering a Level-IV emergency response. Thick plumes of smoke filled the premises as firefighters rushed to the scene. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far. Firefighting operations are currently underway as authorities work to bring the situation under control.

Mumbai has been shaken by two major fire incidents within a span of just a few days, once again highlighting serious concerns over fire safety in commercial buildings. Thankfully, no casualties have been reported in either case. However, significant damage to property and important documents has been observed, raising questions about the preparedness of establishments to handle such emergencies.

In the early hours of Tuesday, a massive fire erupted at the Croma showroom located in the basement of Link Square Mall on Linking Road, Bandra (West), Mumbai.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) received the first alert at 4:11 am. Despite prompt action, the fire rapidly intensified and was classified as a Level-IV emergency within two hours — signaling a major and complex blaze.

Firefighting operations are underway, with multiple teams deployed to bring the situation under control. Further updates are awaited regarding damages and any potential casualties.

A major fire broke out at the Croma showroom, located across three basement levels of a G+3 mall structure, leading to heavy smoke engulfing the entire premises. Firefighters launched an intense operation to control the blaze, deploying three small hose lines and 12 motor pumps. Swift and coordinated efforts were made to bring the situation under control and prevent the fire from spreading further.

Despite the intensity of the fire and significant smoke-logging, authorities have confirmed that there have been no reports of injuries so far. Firefighting operations remain ongoing as crews continue to battle the blaze.

The blaze was reported at around 5:30 AM, prompting an immediate response from the fire department. Firefighters quickly reached the scene and managed to bring the situation under control. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation is currently underway.
