NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi participated in a candlelight march organized by the party in Delhi on Friday to pay tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.
A candle march commenced from the former Congress party headquarters at 24 Akbar Road, making its way through Lutyen’s Delhi to Tees January Marg. The event was led by Congress MP, accompanied by prominent party leaders KC Venugopal and Ajay Makan.
The march concluded at Birla House, the historic site where Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in 1948.
Earlier today, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha paid a visit to Srinagar to meet Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at his residence. The meeting was held in the aftermath of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
