Flight Operations Suspended at Key Northern Airports Until Further Notice

In a recent update shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), multiple airlines have announced the temporary closure of several northern airports, including those in Dharamshala, Leh, Jammu, Srinagar, and Amritsar. The airlines stated that all departures, arrivals, and connecting flights to and from these airports will be impacted until further notice.

Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for the latest updates and reschedule travel plans accordingly. Authorities have yet to confirm the reason for the closures or the expected timeline for resumption of services.

Air India has announced that its flight operations to Rajkot, Bhuj, and Jamnagar will be impacted until at least 12 noon on May 7. Passengers traveling to or from these destinations are advised to check the latest updates with the airline before heading to the airport. The disruption is likely due to operational constraints or weather-related issues, though further details are awaited.

New Delhi, May 7: Amid the ongoing situation, Air India has announced the cancellation of all its flights to and from several key stations until 12 noon on May 7. The affected cities include Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot.

The airline stated that the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure, pending further updates from relevant authorities. In addition, two international flights that were en route to Amritsar have been diverted to Delhi.

IndiGo Airlines has released a travel advisory impacting several destinations across northern India. In an official statement shared via social media, the airline informed passengers that flight operations to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, and Dharamshala are currently affected.

Additionally, IndiGo has now confirmed that flights to and from Bikaner are also being impacted due to the same restrictions.

IndiGo Airlines has issued a travel advisory alerting passengers about potential disruptions. According to the airline, flights to and from several northern cities including Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, and Dharamshala are likely to be impacted.
