Shiv Sena leader Naresh Mhaske has accused Uddhav Thackeray’s faction of hiring individuals like comedian Kunal Kamra to attack Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The allegation adds to the ongoing political tensions between the two factions of Shiv Sena, highlighting the deepening rivalry within the party.

Shiv Sena leader has issued a stern warning to comedian Kunal Kamra over his recent joke about Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The leader cautioned Kamra, stating, “We will make sure you don’t move freely,” signaling strong disapproval of the comedian’s remarks. The statement has sparked controversy, with debates around freedom of speech and political criticism gaining traction. Kamra, known for his satirical takes on politics, has not yet responded to the warning.

Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra has sparked controversy once again over an alleged joke about Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. His remarks have drawn strong reactions from party leaders, who have warned him of “dire consequences,” escalating tensions over the issue.

Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra’s latest show, filmed at Hotel Unicontinental in Mumbai’s Khar, has sparked discussions after featuring a subtle jab at Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Without directly naming anyone, Kamra modified a song from the Bollywood movie Dil Toh Pagal Hai, seemingly mocking Shinde with a ‘gaddar’ (traitor) reference.

The video gained further traction when Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut shared it on X (formerly Twitter), captioning it, “Kunal Ka Kamal” (The Wonder of Kunal). The clip has since gone viral, drawing reactions from both supporters and critics.

Kamra, known for his sharp political satire, continues to push boundaries with his comedy, often addressing key political issues through humor. His latest act adds to the ongoing political discourse in Maharashtra, further fueling debates around Shinde’s political moves and alliances.

Shiv Sena Leader Warns Comedian Kunal Kamra

Comedian Kunal Kamra’s recent joke has sparked controversy, drawing strong reactions from Sena leaders. Offended by his remarks, the party issued a warning to him, leading to further tensions. In response, Sena workers reportedly vandalized a hotel in Khar where the show was filmed, escalating the situation.

Shiv Sena Lok Sabha MP Naresh Mhaske has labeled comedian Kunal Kamra as a “contract comedian” and cautioned him against provoking powerful figures. In what appeared to be a veiled reference to Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Mhaske warned that Kamra had “stepped on a snake’s tail” and could face serious repercussions. “Once the fangs are out, there will be dire consequences,” he stated, signaling potential fallout from Kamra’s remarks.

Shiv Sena MP Issues Warning to Comedian Kunal Kamra Over Criticism of Eknath Shinde

Thane MP has issued a strong warning to stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, stating, “We will make sure you cannot move freely throughout the country. We are Shiv Sainiks of the late Balasaheb Thackeray. If we start following you, you will have to leave the country.”

The remarks come amid allegations by Shiv Sena leader Mhaske, who accused Kamra of accepting money from Uddhav Thackeray to target Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Mhaske further claimed that “Uddhav’s party is left with nobody, so it is hiring such people. Kamra will now realise the consequences of criticising Shinde.”

The controversy has sparked a heated debate over freedom of expression and political retaliation in Maharashtra.

Warning to Comedian Kunal Kamra

Shiv Sena MP strongly criticized Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut for sharing the video online on X.

The controversy erupted following the vandalization of Hotel Unicontinental, after which Raut took to X and stated, “Kunal Kamra is a well-known writer and stand-up comedian. He created a parody song about Maharashtra’s political scenario, which angered the Shinde faction, leading them to ransack the studio. Devendraji, you are a weak home minister.”

The incident has sparked a political debate, with leaders exchanging sharp remarks over freedom of expression and law enforcement in the state.

Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel has issued a strong warning to Kamra, stating that he will “show him his level” and demanding an apology over the controversy. Patel also announced his decision to file an FIR against Kamra at the MIDC police station, intensifying the legal action against the comedian.
