The woman and the young man were also accused of absconding with ₹2.5 lakh in cash and jewellery.
According to police officials, the duo appeared before authorities on Wednesday evening. SP (Rural) Amrit Jain confirmed that after a missing person complaint was filed by the woman’s husband, the police launched a search operation. “One team was deployed to search in Bihar, while another was checking movements along the Indo-Nepal border,” he told TOI.
The investigation led to the successful detention of both individuals. Authorities are currently conducting further inquiries into the matter and assessing the stolen assets.
