Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai on Thursday, May 1, 2025.The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) described WAVES 2025 as a groundbreaking summit— the first of its kind in India. Held under the tagline “Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries,” the event is set to bring together participants from over 90 nations. It will host more than 10,000 delegates, 1,000 creators, over 300 companies, and upwards of 350 startups.
The summit will host a total of 42 plenary sessions, 39 breakout sessions, and 32 masterclasses, covering a wide range of sectors such as broadcasting, infotainment, AVGC-XR, film, and digital media.
On Friday, May 2, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Vizhinjam International Deepwater Multipurpose Seaport in Kerala. During his visit to Andhra Pradesh, he will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects in the Amaravati district, with a total investment exceeding ₹58,000 crore.
