Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has been in the spotlight recently, not just for his on-field performance but also due to speculations surrounding his personal life. Following his divorce from Dhanashree Verma, rumors about his love life gained traction, especially after he was spotted with RJ Mahvash, an Instagram personality, at the ICC Champions Trophy final. This sparked a flurry of rumors regarding their relationship.
However, Mahvash has now addressed these speculations, clarifying that she is currently single. In a podcast interview, she openly discussed her views on relationships, revealing that she does not believe in casual dating. She explained that she had been previously engaged, but that relationship ended when she was 21, which led her to take a more cautious approach to dating.
“I am very much single, and I don’t understand the concept of marriage in today’s time,” Mahvash said, sharing her thoughts on modern relationships. She emphasized that she would only date someone with the intention of marriage, stating, “I don’t go on casual dates because I will only date someone I want to marry. I am that person, like in the film Dhoom, who sees his wife and kids behind the bike.”
Mahvash further elaborated on her views, saying, “Shaadi ka concept samajh nahi aa raha hai (I don’t understand the concept of marriage), so I have put a halt to it.”
In a candid revelation, Mahvash shared her personal experience of being engaged at the age of 19, only to call it off by the time she turned 21. Reflecting on her upbringing in Aligarh, she explained how the traditional expectations of finding a good husband and getting married were ingrained in her at a young age. However, her early experience with engagement made her cautious about rushing into relationships without the promise of a future.
“I was engaged at the age of 19, and I called it off at the age of 21. Growing up in a small town like Aligarh, our only conditioning was that we needed to find a good husband and get married. That used to be our goal,” she added.
With her comments, Mahvash has put an end to any further speculations regarding her relationship status with Chahal, confirming that she is currently focusing on herself and not entertaining any casual relationships.
