Officials have launched search operations at eight locations across Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram in connection with an ongoing investigation involving a prominent educational institute. The premises under scrutiny are reportedly linked to the institute, its promoter D K Goel, and several other associated individuals. The searches are being conducted as part of a wider probe into undisclosed financial activities, sources said.

Delhi, April 24: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out raids on multiple premises across Delhi-NCR on Thursday in connection with a money laundering investigation involving the prominent coaching institute FIITJEE, officials confirmed.

Search operations were conducted at eight locations in Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram. These include properties linked to FIITJEE, its founder D. K. Goel, and several other individuals associated with the institute.

The investigation is being pursued under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

This enforcement action follows a major controversy earlier this year when several FIITJEE centres across India abruptly shut down without any prior notice. According to officials, around 12,000 students were left in the lurch, and numerous parents claimed they had paid full-year fees in advance with no refunds or communication from the institution.

The ED launched its probe based on FIRs registered by Delhi and Noida Police, which were filed after receiving multiple complaints from aggrieved parents. Authorities are examining allegations that funds collected by FIITJEE from students may have been diverted for personal use and other entities unrelated to the core educational services.

FIITJEE, known for its coaching programs aimed at engineering entrance exams including IIT-JEE, had been operating 73 centres nationwide before the closures.

New Delhi, April 24:

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched a series of raids across multiple locations in Delhi-NCR on Thursday, targeting the prominent coaching institute FIITJEE in connection with an ongoing money laundering investigation.

The enforcement action comes in the wake of several FIRs lodged by aggrieved parents. They alleged that FIITJEE abruptly shut down certain centres without issuing refunds, despite having collected substantial fees from students preparing for competitive entrance exams such as JEE and NEET.

Sources indicate that the ED’s search operations are focused on premises associated with the institute’s promoters and key individuals involved in its operations. The agency is probing possible financial irregularities and misappropriation of funds.

The incident has left many students and parents in distress, with uncertainties looming over refunds and future academic plans. Further developments are awaited as the investigation unfolds.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday conducted multiple raids across Delhi-NCR as part of its ongoing money laundering investigation against the prominent coaching institute FIITJEE. The action comes in the wake of FIITJEE abruptly shutting down several of its centres, leaving numerous students and their families in distress.

According to official sources, the searches were carried out at various locations linked to the institute, aiming to uncover financial irregularities and potential violations of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

FIITJEE, known for its IIT-JEE coaching programs, has been under scrutiny ever since it ceased operations at many of its branches without prior notice. The sudden closures have raised concerns among parents and students, many of whom had paid substantial fees in advance.

Further details about the extent of the financial investigation and the evidence seized during the raids are awaited.

Authorities are currently conducting searches at multiple locations in Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram, including premises linked to the promoters of a prominent coaching institute, officials confirmed.

The controversy surrounding FIITJEE centres in Noida and Delhi has intensified, following FIRs registered by local police based on complaints from concerned parents. According to officials, several coaching centres allegedly shut down without prior notice in January, leaving students without academic support and parents in distress.

Affected parents claimed they had paid lakhs of rupees as tuition fees, but neither classes were conducted nor any refunds issued. Authorities are now investigating the matter as part of an ongoing probe into alleged financial and educational negligence

FIITJEE, a renowned name in the field of competitive exam preparation, continues to guide engineering aspirants towards academic excellence. With a robust presence across India, the institute currently operates 73 centres, offering expert coaching for various engineering entrance exams. FIITJEE’s commitment to quality education and consistent results has made it a trusted choice for students aiming to secure top ranks in prestigious exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
