Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his family are set to move out of their iconic sea-facing residence, Mannat, in Bandra. Yes, you read that right! The Khans will soon shift to a luxurious duplex in Pali Hill, a temporary move prompted by a grand renovation planned for their beloved home.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, extensive remodeling will begin at Mannat in May and is expected to take nearly two years. The revamp may include two additional floors in the Mannat annexe, an expansion for which SRK’s wife, interior designer Gauri Khan, sought approval from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority in November 2024.
While their iconic home undergoes transformation, the Khan family will reside in a plush duplex at the upscale Puja Casa building in Pali Hill. The residence comprises four floors leased by Shah Rukh Khan from Bollywood producer Vashu Bhagnani’s real estate venture. Reports suggest that SRK will be shelling out an annual rent of ₹2.90 crore for the apartments, with a monthly rent of ₹24.15 lakh. The lease spans three years, with one apartment rented directly from Jackky Bhagnani and the other jointly leased from Jackky and Deepshika Deshmukh.
For millions of SRK fans, this renovation comes with a small disappointment. The superstar’s signature appearances from Mannat’s terrace, where he greets his fans, might be on pause for the next two years. However, Mannat’s much-anticipated transformation is sure to make up for the wait.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan has been maintaining a relatively low profile following a record-breaking 2023, where he delivered three back-to-back blockbusters. After a quiet 2024, he is all set to begin filming his next project, King. Initially set to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film will now be helmed by Siddharth Anand, who previously directed Pathaan. King will reportedly feature SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan alongside Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma, and other actors in a gripping multi-villain storyline. While details remain under wraps, the film is expected to hit theaters in 2026.
Though SRK fans may miss his presence at Mannat for the time being, the upcoming revamp and his much-anticipated film promise an exciting future for the superstar. Stay tuned for more updates!
