Seema Singh’s Daughter Meghna’s Star-Studded Wedding Festivities Draw Bollywood’s Elite
The sangeet ceremony of Dr. Meghna Singh, daughter of renowned entrepreneur and social activist Seema Singh, turned into a glittering affair as several prominent Bollywood celebrities attended the celebrations held in Mumbai on April 16.
Notable personalities including Shahid Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Shilpa Shetty, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Vaani Kapoor graced the event, adding glamour and excitement to the festivities. Filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Sushmita Sen served as co-hosts for the evening, with Sen donning a classic black saree and Johar making a statement in a red sherwani.
Actor Shahid Kapoor captivated the audience with his electrifying performances, dancing to popular tracks such as Mauja Hi Mauja and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. His energetic routines, including a duet with Meghna’s brother Shrey Singh, quickly went viral across social media platforms.
Seema Singh, founder of the Meghashrey NGO, is widely recognized for her philanthropic work focused on improving access to quality education for underprivileged children in India. In 2023, she was honoured by former President of India Ram Nath Kovind for her initiatives promoting a cervical cancer-free India. She is married to Mritunjay Kumar Singh, a promoter of Alkem Laboratories. Their daughter, Dr. Meghna Singh, is a dermatologist and social worker, while their son Shrey is also actively involved in family and philanthropic events.
The celebratory evening also highlighted Seema Singh’s strong connections with the film fraternity. Over the years, she has hosted several high-profile events, including her widely-attended Diwali celebration, which featured Sushmita Sen, Maheep Kapoor, and Bhavana Pandey among others.
