New Delhi:
In a shocking case that underscores the dark side of social media fame, a woman and her alleged lover have been arrested for the murder of her husband after he discovered them in an intimate moment.

Ravina, a social media influencer with over 34,000 followers on Instagram and 5,000 subscribers on YouTube, had been making comedy videos centered on family life. However, police say her online career began to strain her own family relationships—especially her marriage to 35-year-old Praveen.

According to investigators, Ravina had connected with Suresh, another influencer, through Instagram roughly 18 months ago. The two began collaborating on videos and allegedly developed a romantic relationship. Praveen, suspicious of the affair and frustrated with her time spent filming content, had frequent arguments with Ravina.

On March 25, Praveen returned to their home in Premnagar, Bhiwani, and reportedly caught Ravina and Suresh in an intimate act. A heated altercation followed, during which Ravina allegedly used her dupatta to choke her husband to death.
Police say she remained calm throughout the day, misleading relatives by claiming she did not know of Praveen’s whereabouts. Late that night, Suresh arrived on his bike. Together, they placed Praveen’s body between them and rode nearly 6 kilometers to dispose of it in a drain.
The decomposed body was discovered three days later. CCTV footage from the vicinity revealed the trio riding on a bike, but only two returning. This footage became a key piece of evidence in the police probe. Arrested
Under questioning, both Ravina and Suresh confessed to the crime.
The couple had a six-year-old son. Authorities have yet to comment on the child’s custody or psychological support in the wake of the murder.
This tragic case sheds light on how online fame and personal boundaries can sometimes collide—with devastating consequences.
