A bizarre incident from Pune has gone viral on social media, where an allegedly intoxicated man was seen casually doing push-ups in the middle of a busy road, bringing traffic to a standstill and leaving commuters both amused and frustrated.
The incident reportedly took place near a major intersection in the city during peak hours. In the video, the man, appearing visibly drunk, is seen dropping to the ground and performing push-ups on the road as vehicles around him screech to a halt. Motorists can be seen honking and trying to maneuver around him, while a small crowd gathers to watch the spectacle unfold.
Eyewitnesses say the man seemed unaware—or unconcerned—about the disruption he was causing. “It was surreal. People were shouting at him to move, but he just kept doing push-ups like he was in a gym,” said one commuter who witnessed the incident. “Some people laughed, but others were really annoyed. It could’ve easily caused an accident.”
Traffic police arrived on the scene shortly after and reportedly escorted the man away. It is unclear whether any legal action was taken, but authorities have urged citizens to act responsibly and avoid such stunts, especially on busy roads.Pune
“This kind of behavior not only puts the individual at risk but also endangers others. We request citizens to refrain from such public nuisance,” a Pune Traffic Police official said in a statement.
The video has since gone viral on social media, with netizens reacting with a mix of humor and concern. While some joked about the man’s “dedication to fitness,” others criticized the dangerous nature of the act and called for stricter enforcement against public intoxication.
As of now, the identity of the man remains unknown.
