A Level-II fire erupted at Bonanza Industrial Estate in Kandivali (West) on Saturday morning, but prompt action by the Mumbai Fire Brigade and other emergency services brought the situation under control without any reported injuries.
A Level-II fire erupted early Saturday morning at Bonanza Industrial Estate, located on Ashok Chakravarti Road in Kandivali (West), Mumbai. The Mumbai Fire Brigade received the first alert about the incident at approximately 7:00 a.m. on May 10, 2025, according to updates from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the fire was restricted to a gala on the first floor of a ground-plus-two (G+2) industrial estate. The area quickly filled with thick smoke, prompting an urgent response. Firefighters deployed three small hose lines and one high-pressure line to bring the situation under control.
A coordinated emergency response operation was launched involving multiple civic and disaster management agencies. Key responders included the Mumbai Fire Brigade, BMC ward personnel, local police, Adani Electricity, the 108 Ambulance service, and the Maharashtra Public Works Department (PWD). The deployment to the site featured a comprehensive array of equipment and vehicles: six fire engines, two fire tenders, six jumbo water tankers, two auxiliary water tankers, a breathing apparatus van, a quick response vehicle (QRV), a wide-response QRV, and a 108 Ambulance.
Thankfully, no one was injured or killed in the incident. Authorities have not yet released information regarding the cause of the fire.”

Earlier this month, a fire erupted at an industrial unit in Andheri (East), Mumbai, according to civic authorities. The Mumbai Fire Brigade reported that the blaze began around 5:56 a.m. on May 8, 2025, at Gala No. 44 in Apollo Industrial Estate, near Holy Family School. The fire rapidly engulfed the ground and first floors, damaging electrical wiring, office documents, furniture, and stored medical supplies.
The fire was reportedly limited to electrical systems and office equipment, such as computers, printers, a Xerox machine, and a substantial inventory of medical supplies, including diapers, wheelchairs, and surgical tools.
By 8:50 a.m., the fire had been completely extinguished, with no injuries reported. Authorities are currently investigating the cause and evaluating the extent of the damage to the building, along with the loss of essential equipment and supplies.
