India Targets Eight Military Sites in Pakistan in Precision Strike Following Escalated Hostilities

The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted a series of precision strikes on eight military sites in Pakistan on Saturday, targeting radar units, ammunition dumps, and other military infrastructure. This retaliatory action was in response to Pakistan’s recent aggression, including attacks on India’s military infrastructure and civilian areas using fighter jets, drones, and missiles. The strikes were part of Operation Sindoor, India’s military response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22.

The IAF’s precision strikes hit military targets in key locations including Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Chunian, Pasrur, and Sialkot, military officials confirmed. These actions come amid heightened tensions between the two nations, particularly following Pakistan’s provocative use of UCAVs, drones, long-range missiles, and fighter jets to target both military and civilian infrastructures in India.

According to Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, one of the officials briefing the media, the Indian military carried out focused strikes on command and control centers, radar sites, and weapon storage areas, ensuring minimal collateral damage while targeting only identified military sites. “Pakistan’s military continued its provocations with aggressive actions along the western border, utilizing multiple threat vectors including UCAVs, drones, and heavy-caliber weapons aimed at both civilian and military targets,” she stated.

The Pakistani forces retaliated by targeting airbases in Punjab with missiles in the early hours of Saturday, including missile strikes on medical centers and schools at three airbases in Jammu and Kashmir. These developments marked the most intense clash between the two militaries since Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7, escalating fears of a broader conflict.

On Friday, Indian forces had already responded to multiple Pakistani drone strikes on 26 locations across Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, successfully neutralizing the majority of these threats. However, there was some limited damage to military equipment and personnel at IAF stations in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, who was part of the briefing, noted that Pakistan had attempted to execute a campaign of misinformation, falsely claiming the destruction of various military assets, including Indian S-400 systems and airfields. “India unequivocally rejects these false narratives and remains focused on responding to Pakistan’s provocations with precision and restraint,” Singh emphasized.

The Indian government condemned Pakistan’s continuous pattern of targeting civilian infrastructure, particularly medical and educational facilities at airbases in Jammu and Kashmir. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri echoed these concerns, asserting that such actions were part of Pakistan’s “wanton campaign” to escalate hostilities. “India remains committed to non-escalation, provided Pakistan reciprocates with restraint,” he added.

Meanwhile, Pakistan launched multiple drone incursions along the Line of Control (LoC) towards Amritsar, which were swiftly intercepted and neutralized by India’s air defense systems. “The Indian Army’s air defense network detected and engaged the hostile drones almost immediately after they breached Indian airspace,” said a source familiar with the operations.

As tensions continue to rise, India maintains a high state of operational readiness, ensuring that military actions are proportionate and focused on eliminating threats to national security. The country has also called for international recognition of Pakistan’s actions, demanding accountability for its continued sponsorship of cross-border terrorism.
