Colombo, April 5, 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo on Saturday morning for high-level delegation talks with Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, marking a significant step forward in strengthening India-Sri Lanka bilateral relations.
The two leaders discussed a wide range of issues, including defense cooperation, maritime security, trade and investment, energy collaboration, and cultural exchange. The meeting aimed to deepen strategic ties between the neighboring nations, with an emphasis on regional stability and economic development.

Prime Minister Modi was accompanied by a high-powered delegation, including External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri.
