New Delhi, April 14, 2025 — A disturbing case of animal abuse has emerged from Kailash Nagar in Delhi, where a man identified as Naushad was allegedly caught in the act of sexually assaulting multiple stray dogs. The incident has triggered widespread outrage among local residents and animal rights activists, who are now calling for immediate legal action and stronger animal protection laws.
The case came to light after a video, reportedly showing the accused mid-act, surfaced online. Due to its graphic nature, the footage is not being circulated publicly, but it has been shared with authorities as evidence.

Locals claim this was not an isolated incident and that the man had been engaging in such abuse for several weeks, often under the cover of night.Delhi’s
Residents, shocked and horrified by the revelations, confronted the accused and alerted both the police and animal welfare organizations. Several activists from groups including People for Animals (PFA) and the Humane Society International (HSI) have since visited the locality, urging swift action under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, as well as relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code dealing with unnatural offenses.
“We are appalled by the cruelty inflicted on these voiceless animals. Such acts are not only barbaric but also a serious public safety concern,” said Radhika Mehra, a Delhi-based animal rights activist. “There is an urgent need to amend and strengthen the laws that currently carry minimal penalties for such heinous crimes.”

An FIR has reportedly been registered, and the police have taken the accused into custody for interrogation. Medical examinations of the affected animals are being conducted by veterinary professionals to gather further evidence and ensure their well-being.
This incident has reignited conversations around animal cruelty in India and the urgent need for legislative reform. Many citizens have taken to social media using hashtags like #JusticeForStrays and #StrongerAnimalLaws, demanding that such crimes not go unpunished.
As the investigation progresses, authorities have assured the public that a thorough probe is underway and that justice will be served.
